Kennels & Cattery Conditions
Welcome to our website. If you continue to browse and use this website you are agreeing to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions of use, which together with our privacy policy govern Grassgarth Boarding Kennels’ relationship with you in relation to this website.
- All dogs must be inoculated against Distemper, Hepatitis, Leptospirosis within the last 12months as well as having an up to date Kennel Cough Vaccine certificate. Kennel Cough vaccination is given up the dog’s nose. Please ask your vet for information or call us for advice. CURRENT CERTIFICATES OF INOCULATION MUST BE PRODUCED ON ARRIVAL EACH TIME.
- All cats must hold an up to date vaccination certificate. This certificate must be produced, on arrival, for each visit to the cattery.
- All boarders will be covered by our comprehensive insurance.
- Whilst every possible care and attention is given to each boarder: All animals are boarded at owners risk.
- We ask that no beds/bedding/bowls/toys are left with your animal as these are provided but if you wish to leave any of the above the management cannot be held responsible for any damage or loss sustained.
- All rates are daily, levied from and including the day of arrival and the day of departure, unless the animal is removed BEFORE NOON, when no charge will be made for that day. We reserve the right to revise our price from time to time, all prices quoted will be at the rate prevailing at the time of the booking, prices charged will be at the rate prevailing at the time of boarding.
- Opening hours must be adhered to. A fee of £10 will be charged for collection/drop off outside opening times as a member of staff will be waiting for you.
- Payment to be paid for full period of booking and is due on arrival, please be aware that no pet can be removed from our premises until accounts are settled in full and that outstanding accounts will continue to accrue at our full daily rate until fully paid. (Xmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year’s Day & Easter Sunday there will be an additional cost of £8 per dog , £4 per cat and £2 per small animal this is to cover the extra we pay our kind staff that come in on these days)
- Cancellations; if you need to cancel a booking please provide more than seven days notice as failure to do so will result in the full period of the booking being charged.
- If any animal requires veterinary treatment whilst in our care, permission is given to do so.
- If any vet fees are incurred whilst the animal is in our care they must be paid for on collection by the owner.
- If your dog/cat is found to have fleas/worms we will treat them and a fee of £10 will be added to your invoice.
- Your dog/cat/small animal photo maybe used for social media/ our website
- It is at our discretion to refuse a dog/cat due to ill health or temperament/behaviour problems.
- Cats may share a unit if requested but must be from the same household.
- Dogs may be walked/exercised together if requested but will only share a kennels if dogs are from the same household if owners request this.
- In the event of an animal not being collected for any reason or fees not being paid, we give the owners 14 days notice to their last known address and if an agreement cannot be reached the animal will be disposed off.
- We reserve the right to update/amend and edit terms and conditions when we deem necessary.
- View by appointment, this is to allow us to keep the dogs/cats in a settled and relaxed routine and to minimise any stress to the animals in our care, we also close in an afternoon so we can’t spend quality time with the animals, walking/playing etc, this is also for health and safety reasons.
- We must be advised of any medical or specific feeding requirements.
- A charge of £2 per day is made for administering medication.
- Discounts available for multiple dogs/cats over three and long stays animals outside of our busy periods. Please ask Hilary about this.
